I can't believe we have already reached the end of October. This tour has really flown by! Which is a good sign that we are having fun out here on the road. My band, the crew, and Josh Wilson have made for some awesome traveling companions, and this fall has been a blast.
Last night, we played in Iowa, and I've begun to lose count of how many Iowa shows I've done. But it never fails, every time I play in Iowa, the crowd is so supportive, It's always such a great experience.
During the show though, I looked out and saw a little boy in the front row who was sound asleep (how he was able to sleep while the band was rocking I don't know...) His name was Donovan, and so I had the crowd whisper, "night night Donovan." After all, it was a school night...
My mission to write a song for every city has been a success so far. I can't say each song has been a hit, but I have given it my best shot, and at the very least I've tried to make it rhyme!
I'll find a way to post those made up songs on myspace or something soon.
Day off today in Rock Island, IL. Good to rest. Then we play here tomorrow night. Appreciate your prayers as we travel on...-mw
