Linda Knott
Linda has had Something To Say to women inmates for 17 years. She initiated a weekly Bible study called The Master’s Life and has seen thousands of women come through the doors of Freedom Chapel at the Tennessee Prison for Women. Not only does she provided for the spiritual growth of these women through the weekly Bible study, but every year she coordinates the Christmas and Easter parties for the 700-plus inmates as well as Christmas and Easter parties for the inmate’s children.
She recruits assistance from the community collecting many items every year including greeting cards, and personal hygiene items that most of these women would never enjoy apart from the generous giving of others.
Her favorite project was establishing a shoe fund for the inmates in the memory of her husband. She has also been instrumental in bringing Christian artists in to minister to the women, including Matthew West himself.
